The Challenge
To carry out important improvements to the outside of a two story building, which included major work to the roof, windows and doors. In particular to ensure all work was to be carried out consistent with current regulations, principally on the roof where asbestos was found.
What we did
Having installed and regularly maintained appropriate scaffolding, safe walkways and netting, the roof was cleaned up, taking away vegetation where necessary, stopping water ingress and making repairs to ensure the roof was effective in all respects. Also to ensure windows opened, glass replaced where necessary, brickwork improved to stop water coming through and painted to protect and provide a good finish to the building.
Client Benefit
The building was not only safe but also presented well to potential future tenants. This together with improved internal facilities enabled the building owners to secure quality tenants and improved terms.
